Tough Loss

We won the first set 6-4, lost the second 6-4, and lost the breaker 10-3. This loss stung a lot to be completely honest. Max and I have been working really hard, and it’s a tough pill to swallow when you combine the hard work with losing to a team you feel like you shouldn’t. However, this types of things happen in sports. We have to handle moments like this by watching the film, figuring out what went wrong, and practice the areas that we fell short in as much as we can before next week’s tournament.

I’ve watched our match already and took notes on it. Max and I will talk about the match at dinner time. We will talk about went wrong, and come up with a plan for improving for the 4 days before competing in next week’s tournament. If I want to reach my goals this year, it’s important to learn as much as possible from each loss to avoid losing the same way consecutively. I’ll definitely be practicing with a bitter taste in my mouth for the next few days, but the bright side is practicing with a bitter taste help have good practices. Hopefully the good practices will lead to some better results for next week.
